car is unstoppable! (new brakes)
Posted by damien [Email] (more from damien) on Sat, 28 May 2005 06:05:31
I've been thinking about this kit for awhile, so I finally just ordered it to see what would happen...a dual master cylinder setup with integrated balace bar and *no* brake booster.
I was hoping for a very firm pedal with great feel (modulation) and a small increase in pedal effort compared to stock.
What I got was a very firm pedal which does very little in terms of slowing the car down, even with ridiculously high pedal effort!
I'm about to work on 1) reduce MC size 2) play w/ balance bar 3) increase wheel cyl size via wilwood big brake kit and 4) possibly modify brake pedal for more leverage.
What do you think? Damien
