Is it possible to add MBC+A w/o other upgrades... Posted by IanC [Email] (#139) [Profile/Gallery] (more from IanC) on Sat, 28 May 2005 06:08:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
by running it low? I have a bad BPC (diagnosed with info from the NG board) that I'd like to replace with an MBC+A for cost and future potential reasons. I've read one post saying someone used an MBC+A without other mods by running it on the low side, but that's way outnumbered by posts saying do it all. So I'm confused. I tried searching this board but couldn't find a definitive answer one way or the other.
What I'd like to know is if it's OK, or should I wait?
I already bought an MBC+A (at the same time I bought the new rear swaybar, what a difference!) and having it sit there unused is killing me!
My exhaust is relatively new (non-sport) so I'd like to keep that stock and upgrade when needed. I may actually port the TBTC today and the turbo silencer doesn't sound like a big deal. If I can find a spare airbox I'll do that, just don't want to mess around with the one I need to drive the car. I have a K&N. So I'm mostly concerned about the exhaust. Plus, it seems that intake mods would need the exhaust to really be effective.
Thanks in advance, I appreciate Saabnet tremendously!
