I am a new member and happy to have this site to help me to get my Sonett back on the road. I just got it. Yellow 74. Former owner was a picker who got it from some one who was going to restore it but got sick. Love these car, had one growing up, never see them so had to take a shot. Could not see this one parted out Long story short the reason I decided to get it back was that the former owner put new floors in it about ten years ago.So it sat for a while. My first thing to accomplish is to get it running. I drained most of the fuel new gas and filter put new oil and filter and changed oil. It turns over and spits a bit. Problem is that the diaphragm on carb is leaking. It is spraying in the carb but the leaking is bad. There is a lot of info on the fomoco carb on here. Some positive some not. I would like to keep original and found a rebuild kit at local part store for 18$. Will this have everything i need to get this carb working. So should I get it and rebuild it. I have never rebuilt one but have some experience with carbs. Ashcraft has a rebuild with instructions for 60. Looking for some advice. Thanks
