On the navigation bar pick 'Saab Facts' from there you can find some great
info on older Saabs including some very informative charts that give you a
year to year break down on what changed with each model. For example you
can find out there that on the Model 96 it wasn't until the 1967 model year
that they offered the 4-stroke Ford engine in addition to the two-stroke.
Both were offered in 1968 as well, then from 1969 onward, only the 4-stroke
was sold. All kinds of other near tidbits are offered and this is probably
a great site for anyone who finds an old (pre-model 99) Saab that wants to
research what the car originally came with vs. what might be in it now.
