I had this same problem with my 1995 900 S a couple of months ago. The
little knobs just flew off and disappeared.

Apparently there are actually two styles of this knob (I learned this the
hard way). The SAAB part number mine took was 0248781 [US$1.70]. The part
number that was WRONG was 0252874 [US$ 2.00].

The knob shown on the

right in that photo is the correct one, you can see that its shape matches
the shape of the part it came off of.
