Buying a Used Saab

I've come across a local '89 9000turbo automatic 2 owner car (by 2 brothers)
that's been well maintained and has had frequent oil changes. It has 117k
miles on it but apparently no major repairs. It was garaged up until 3 years
ago and the current owner uses it mostly for local jaunts - he's had it since
'95 and has put on less than <50k of the miles. It's not clear how the first
brother used it though he supposedly was fastidious with it's maintenance.
How leary should I be of such a vehicle? The auto trannies on these don't
have great reputations and it's not clear that it's ever had it's fluid
changed. He's asking $3300 for it. Any thoughts on this one, guys? Off line
replies are welcome.
TIA,
Dave
