You need the e-code headlight assemblies,

You need two rubber boots, one for each assembly, to seal the hole through 
which the wires enter the back of the housing.  Leaving this hole un-sealed 
will cause your nice new e-code reflectors to corrode and your nice new 
e-code lenses to fog up from the inside.  The appropriate boot can be found 
on the front turn-signal connector in 1986 and earlier 900 cars.  A junkyard 
might be able to help, or you should still be able to order it through a 
SAAB dealer (part number 85 52 721).

You also need a couple of old-style sealed-beam wiring harness ends 
(connectors) that also happen to work on H4 bulbs.  The electical section at 
your local auto parts store should stock these, and all you have to do is 
splice them into the 9004 wires in your car.
