Behind the Dash

I'm trying to replace the radio and equalizer in my 91 900 with a new
radio and separate cd changer. The changer fits in the equalizer DIN
slot and connects to the new head unit with a DIN cable. Similarly, the
stock radio is connected to the stock equalizer with a DIN cable, but
the old one has round connectors and the new one is square.

I thought that when I removed the old radio and the old equalizer, I
could use the old DIN cable to pull through the new DIN cable (as well
as a few power wires that the new changer requires). Unfortunately, the
old cable is stuck. I can't pull it out (either up or down). If this
only meant leaving a loose cable back there, I'd probably do it, but it
also means that there's no easy way to get the new cable up from the
changer to the new head unit.

It looks like I'll have to remove the dash or other parts. I need
help. What can I remove to get to the wires behind the dash, and how do
I do it? That is, which screws/bolts do I take off?
