Re: Clarion Radio

I had the same problem with my wife's '86 Clarion (staticy/no
signal to left speakers). We found that by jiggling the spectrum
analyzer up and down the left speakers would work again, but we
soon lost interest in that! So I pulled out the spectrum
analyzer and disconnected it from the radio. Our owners manual
gave brief instructions and a helpful diagram on the process.
The amp is still in the dash, but you have to un-screw it from
the analyzer. We figured that sound out of 4 speakers is better
than great sound out of 2 speakers, so we didn't look into
getting the analyzer fixed. Besides, now we have a second
compartment (in front of the amp) that's holding our portable
car CD player!
