Brake Booster

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I want to confirm my guess before
springing for an expensive part. My 1986 900S with manual transmission
has an idle hunt problem when first started, and runs smoothly when
warm. I've also noticed it now takes a bit more pedal pressure than
normal to brake. When I'm stopped and idling smoothly with a fully warm
engine and step on the brake pedal, the engine slows by ~50 RPM, and it
speeds up again when I release the pedal. I think this means that the
brake booster itself is leaking vacuum and needs to be replaced, and I'm
hoping that in addition to restoring full power to the brakes, it may
help the idle hunt. Are there other possibilities I should check?

Thanks in advance for your help.
