Power Steering

THe power steering on my '92 900 is acting up... For a while I had an
occasional metallic scraping and/or clicking sound that seemed to eminate
from right below the steering wheel itself. There were no troubles with the
actual steering of the car, however. Now, along with the sound, I'm getting
resistance in the wheel- it's not too tough, but pretty constant- it does not
go away after warm up.

Fluids are fine- no leaks, and the belt is fine as well. I've noticed posts
that refer to a steering knuckle issue- can anyone tell me where exactly this
is, and how I check it? Any other ideas re the pump and rack? the car has
94k, though I don't know what was done to the car before 70k.

As always, much thanks, Chris O'Malley
