Heat Shield Rear Bolts
Lift up the rear end of the carpet; these bolts sit just aft of the floor console. They are the pair farthest to the right in this photo. Don't forget the two bolts underneath the car!

Heat Shield Front Bolt
The cylinder with the boot is the shift rod, just feel for the lump that is the bolt and scratch a hole in the insulation. You may need to detatch the plastic wiring sleeve and move it aside. It's a T-25 Torx bolt IIRC. Don't remove the shifter.

Ignition Key Switch
Notice the little button on the side- you align this with the hole (drilled out cap) in the housing, then reach in and press it, and tug the lock cylinder out with a key.

Depressing the Lock Cylinder Release
Use a drill bit or piece of wire. I used a bicycle spoke. Line up the button with the hole, depress the button, and pull the cylinder out. For those needing more reference, that's the correct wiring for the ignition switch for MY 1992.

'87 S Ignition Switch
This is the transmission donor car, the best $350 (hoist included) I ever spent!
