Here is a the light and it's slightly modified bracket - the mounts are just re-bent L-brackets.

The bracket from the side, I reshaped those Ls with only a hammer, visegrips and pliers.

These slots were simple to make with only a sharp knife by cutting 2 sides and scoring the 3rd.
