I have owned a 2007 9-3 Aero with a six-speed manual for the past 7 years, which has a few upgrades (BSR tune, exhaust system, cold air intake and improved suspension components). The engine has fared very well (134K miles), in spite of the tune and a few track days. As mentioned in the other responses, servicing is usually a challenge due the very cramped engine compartment (I have replaced the t-stat and that was a long knuckle busting job). Changing the coils and plugs on the back three cylinders is no joy. The OE coolant reservoir is plastic and will crack due to heat cycling. I changed mine to an aluminum one from Taliaferro. I have had the crank shaft oil seal replaced (requires a lift) to the tune of $900, where I did the same to a 2006 9-3 2.0T in the driveway with a few basic tools. Servicing aside the V-6 Aero manual is a FUN car to drive! Good luck in your search!
