I just purchased a 1989 SAAB 9000 with an insurance check for my 1990 Subaru which was totaled. I need a little info about SAABs and this one in particular. It has 115,000 miles and appears to have (local Machanic) new brakes and exhust. New belts and a new water pump. It seems solid. I am still within the 30day warranty and have noticed the following. Under power it shifts smooth(auto) when slowing it sometimes seems as if it momentarrily goes through neutral before engaging a lower gear. It also appears to have a working Saab alarm that the dealer did not seem to know or tell me about. All of a sudden when I locked it up I heard a chirp. When I unlucked it and tried to drive home it kept going off. I pulled over several times and locked and unlocked the door and it seemed to have stopped. Other minor notes, auto heat does not seem very warm and does not defrost well. Electric mirrors worked once and stopped. Come to think of it I probably should take it back. As you can see I do need some assistance. John -- " Golf is a good walk spoiled" Mark Twain But who likes just a good walk ! ME
