Thanks for your reply... I will attempt to answer these questions as I learn more about the car (as I just got it last week). The previous owner kept extensive records and was very meticulous - he also kept it in the garage most winters and did additional rustproofing with some stuff he got in England - he picked the car up new at the Saab factory in Sweden to bring back to the states. Some of the latest service records mention the idle problem - the throttle body was cleaned and everything was adjusted by the Saab shop - they referenced an option to remove a brain to send to Saab for an upgrade with an estimated down time of 10-14 days. I will talk to the previous owner to see what this was about - just trying to see if anyone out there has heard of this. Your reply regarding the torque arm bushings and the shifter movement - I am interest in hearing more about your modification. On the shifter movement - is this normal, or does it just occur if the engine mounts are worn?
