I live in the Boston area and it appears to me that the new 9-5 is off to a slow start. I've seen them lined up about 10 deep just sitting there at a Saab dealership near me. I talked to a salesman and he complained that most of these cars will be leased and as of yet they cannot offer competitive lease rates compared to other makes of cars which are being leased very aggresively. It's a surprise to me because seemingly the Saab 9-5 is a lot of car for the money. Maybe people are turned off by the 4 cylinder engine and the fact that Saab's reputation has been tarnished as of late. My advice is too wait. As availibility increases the price will surely come down!
