AFAIK you have two options 1) Fork out an arm and a leg and fit AP racing brakes on the front (current cost about 1200 pounds UK). 2) Try and fit the brakes from a latter car or a 9000. However to do this will of course require changing the complete hub assemblies on all four corners. I have also been informed that this will not actually improve the braking performance. There is another option that I am not too sure about, but some of the early S models (spg?) had the old style brakes but fitted with a ventilated disc and a slightly larger yoke on the brake caliper. If this is true then you could try and hunt down these calipers and disc's. In the end I decided to first try some better quality pads. At the moment I am using a set of new AP lockeed disc's and pads that cost me 80 pounds all in. I have to say that they are superb stoppers and the cost makes them a bargain I would reccomend to anyone. P.S. The pads cost about 25 pounds which is alot cheaper then the over priced SAAB sourced items. -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own
