I have the same problem with my 92 900S conv. It seems to work only if it is hot outside (90 F) or when I have heater on for about 15 to 20 minutes (and doesn't always work then). I've checked the vacuum and the switches on brake and clutch pedal. I haven't a clue what it could be and suspect I'll never find out. I am just living with it.
