The SAAB procedure for converting a NG 900 MT to synthetic specifies something to the effect of 'drive the car so that the new synthetic transmission fluid runs thoroughly through the system', before re-draining and re-filling with fresh synthetic. What is 'thoroughly'? When I recently converted my '94 900, I only drove the car for 15 minutes or so, switching gears frequently, before re-draining and re-filling. Is this sufficient? >>, drain it, >>and refill it again. Continue to repeat this process >>until all evidence of the oil fluid is eliminated.
