Subject: Re: Saab 9-5 or Volvo S 80 ?

I sold yesterday my 9-5. My Volvo dealer borrowed me brand-new S80 T6 free-of-charge for one full month, until my own T6 will be delivered on January 21. S80 T6 performance, comfort, and overall impression are marvelous. The car is a great blend of a luxury sedan (not like rather mid-sized S/V70 and 9-5) and a sport-car. Will come up with more practical experiences in few days. For now, I really love integrated GSM telephone which is VERY sensitive, great stereo and a lot of small goodies not seen on S/V70. Traction with STC/DSTC is just perfect, it is also fun to shift manually with Geartronic transmission. There is A LOT of space on rear seats, uncomparable to both S/V70 and 9-5. The borrowed car does not have RTI, so I cannot comment on this. Performance, at all speeds is a way better than in my former V70R AWD, with no noticable turbo lag. The car is also VERY quiet at traveling speeds around 200 km/h and more. I was driving before also (new) E280 and it cannot be compared with it at all. Well, new MB S-class should be better, but a lot more expensive.
