I had a Carlton (Omega) at one stage, built by Adam Opel - the forst thing you always check on a used Vauxhall is that it has an Adam Opel VIN plate, 'cos British built ones are sadly not up to scratch. Was a nice car, well made, let down by iffy (Bosh) injection system. More comfortable, quieter and vastly more economical than my Volvo. The Carlton would return 40+mpg (Imperial gallons, about 4.5 litres) at speeds of 80mph + =========================================== Guy Chapman, IT Wallah, Mac addict and serial Volvo owner. gchapmanREMOVEnopsamVEpatrol.i-way.co.uk < you know what to REMOVE for my mail > http://www.i-way.co.uk/~gchapman =========================================== ENN wrote in message <76nc54$4v54$2nopsam-inn.inet.tele.dk>... >Opel Astra is known for it`s LOOOOW quality and for rusting faster than any >other car here in Europa. > >The rest of Opel`s range (including the brittish Vaxhall whitch is a renamed >Opel) is known for it`s low quality and many unsatisfied customers. > >
