I don't know where you're from, but the Consumer Reports reference implies America or maybe Canada. All American 9-3s are turbocharged, so you don't have that decision to make. I love my 9-3 (I live in America :). It is the base 3-door, plus sunroof and heated seats. It's a very nice car. The cupholders are small, flimsy, and in the way or out of reach, but that does not detract from the car at all. The seats are wonderful, though I know some folks disagree, the handling is very good, the power is excellent, the mileage (all highway for me) is very good for the power, and the hatch is larger than many small countries. I can find many things that are quite different than Japanese or American cars, and lots of folks must think that detracts from the car (otherwise Saab would sell as many cars as Toyota or Honda), but I don't think so at all. Go drive one if you can. I really think you'll like it, but whether you do or don't I think you'll know immediately. They're not like the aforementioned Japanese brands, nor the Americans; they're actually FUN. On Tue, 20 Apr 1999 05:03:52 GMT, scottnopsambworld.com (S.
