I've always thought that was a myth - new Saab's in the UK are popular with many people in the same age group as "typical" BMW driver's (30s, professionals etc). The older 900 and 99 models are also becoming popular with younger people over here in the UK as they last, have more character and can be good value for money. Admittedly, older Saab's also have a very loyal following as some owners keep theirs for years which may contribute to this myth. >My insurance agent told me that insuring our Saabs is cheaper because : >1. they are very difficult to steal >2. they are known in the insurane world to be very safe (together with >Volvo) so the risk of fatal injury is smaller. The same here. When I bought my current 900 SE new about eighteen months ago , I had a look at various cars , one of which was a BMW 320. The BMW was more expensive to insure. The 900 SE was also cheaper to insure than my previous car - a Rover 623 GSi.. Kevin Lee home page:www.keltia4.co.uk
