thank you very much for your advise, this is my first posting and appreciate all / any input. I tried putting oil down the pressure side to no avail. I put a total of 2 1/2 gallons in the pan and that didn't help. If I blow in the filler tube, some does come out of the hole that leads to the pickup tube, so I don't think the pickup screen is clogged. At this point I think the only possible solution is to pull the damn engine to see if the pickup tube is damaged or the O-ring is bad. I really don't want to pull the engine (especially without a garage) but if no one can think of a solution, it is my only option. Thanks again Rob.
