Subject: Help Please Shifter coupling


Today I repaired a broke shifter coupling....However it is very hard to shift gears....requires alot of strenght..to get to first i have to slam it in second them really hard and fast to first....on down shifts with high RPM's and sometimes low, the gears grind bad and will not go in gear...it really sucks...did i put the 10mm nuts on too tight..it is semitrical so i dont think i put in upside down or anything....what could be the deal...do i need to lube it up...when i hold in the clutch and start shifting fast into all the gears hard it seems to become a little looser...any suggestions...Please help!!!
