My idle on a 900 Turbo 8v (1985) seems irregular and there is also vibration in the cabin. New plugs, but should I change the plug leads before going further? They are what looks like oldish Bougicords. What's a good replacement, including leads from Maplins UK? If it's not that, then is the gasket a culprit? No apparant water in the engine oil, car runs at right temp. Gushing over coolant was cured by new overflow cap, radiator drain and bleeding air out of thermostat, though at first, before work mentioned, it did look like a lot of air was bubbling out at startup with the cap off. I'm still left with rough idle and also I think I only get about 15mpg. This sounds underpowered to me, and even the turbo doesn't give more than a 'medium' feel of increased performance, not a real lift. Any ideas?
