I looked at both, but found the base Saab 9-3 to be far better equipped in base form then the Audi. Heated seats, mirrors, headlight wipers, etc are all standard on the Saab. I also found the performance of the 9-3 to be in a different league altogether then the A4. If you live in a very snowy climate, then the A4 might be a better choice.
