David, The back of the visor has tire pressure recommendations, but I doubt that is it. Does it clank (metal to metal sound)? or is it more of a clunk? Clank could be front shock bushings (very cheap and easy to replace), clunk could be ball joints. Ball joints are not that much harder to replace, but are a bit more expensive. Not that I doubt your dealer, but I would check it out. Remove the front tire. The shock bushings are visible at the lower eye on the front shocks. If they are visibly tattered and the stud is not in the center of the lower shock eye, they need to be replaced. Checking ball joints requires a bit more work. Jack up car, remove tire, set car on jack stand, Disconnect lower end of shock from lower a-arm. use jack to compress spring by jacking on lower a arm. place 1" spacers under upper a arm. gently lower jack so that spacers are clamped between upper a arm and frame. now pull on the knuckle to see if there is any play. if there is vertical or radial play in the ball joints, they need to be replaced. Since you already bought it, I doubt your dealer would be sympathetic and fix any of this, but maybe I am a bit too cynical. Keith Grider "David M. My 1987 900 turbo with 170,000 miles on it feels like it's going to fall apart when going over bumps. I cannot find anywhere listing what my tire pressure should be, can someone tell me? Also, any thoughts or ideas on what else this could be (since I really doubt the tire pressure is to make all that much difference in the end)? The Saab dealer (Island Saab on Long Island, NY) has told me everything checks out 'OK' on the suspension. Oh, by the way, I'm not crazy, this is my third Saab all-together, and neither of the past two felt in any way like this going over bumps. David
