I liked the CH95's on my jetta. They were much quieter than the original goodyear GA's. I thought they had superior traction wet and dry and were quiet. The jetta is quite a bit lighter. I would get another set and try them on my 89 900 when the Michelins wear out (whenever that is). The p400 is an old design as well. I would be curious of the manufacture date as you shouldn't get tires > 2yr old. Dry rot can be a problem with older tires. I think the load index question is a good question. Any takers? Also, I would contact tire rack by phone as the sales reps seem to be quite knowledgeable as well as having better prices than most everyone else. Keep in mind that you will have to pay about $10.00 per tire to have them locally mounted and balanced. I have found that the local NTB ot TIre Discounters will meet the tire rack price (- mount and balance) when asked.
