Subject: "Check Engine" light flashing.

Dear All, I have noticed the "Check Engine" light flashing on and off a couple of times over the last few hundred miles. The manual says that when it comes on (by which I assume it means "when it comes on and stays on"), my injectors are failing and that I need to get it to a Saab dealership asap. What does the occasional flash indicate, and can I carry out any repairs required myself? Thanks in advance for any advice you might be able to give.
