I'm looking to buy a new 9-3, and really like the idea of the performance of the Viggen. However - the trim level of the base 9-3 would be just fine with me. Are the mechanicals of the base 9-3, and the Viggen, the same? Is it the same engine/turbo/transmission? My current car, an '88 900T, was pretty much identical to the SPG mechanically, and I just added the APC computer, the SPG exhaust, and the higher pressure fuel regulator, to get it near SPG performance. Can this sort of thing be done to a base 9-3? Is all of the main componentry the same, with just a difference in a chip, exhaust, and fuel system? Dave Hinz
