I had a 96 900SE coupe before trading it in on a wagon. Here's what went wrong. Passenger side latch to raise seat stopped working right around the time the warranty ran out. That was the only thing that wasn't fixed by Saab. The A/C fan control unit died and was replaced, and my wife managed to break two sunvisors that Saab so graciously replaced. There was also some problem with the gearshift, but it was taken care of under warranty. I would also opt for the 96, since it is newer. I loved the car, it was reliable and very fast, and the problems were fixed very quickly. Ken > > I'm on the verge of buying my first Saab.
