Your car may be fine, but at this vintage it all depends on the maintenance history. I have a long list of bills, but nothing out of the ordinary - well perhaps the head gasket was a bit unexpected. It is important that the engine runs without any hiccups, flat spots or erratic idling. There should be no unusual noises, apart from the ticking valves a short period after starting, but this is perfectly normal. The gearbox is vulnerable and and might need some attention at high mileage. Good luck, one of the best Saabs if not one of the best cars you can get of its type. Johannes
