Hi, The front half of the Saab 90 is mechanically the same as a Saab 99 1983/84 (i.e. the Finnish Valmet-manufactured Saabs), though the Saab 90 may be using a Hall effect transducer instead of points in the distributor . . . can also mention that Saab more or less grafted the back end of a 900 2d sedan onto the 99 front end to create the Saab 90, but you've probably figured that out already ;-) but this means that the choke cable assembly from a Saab 99 83-84, and possibly earlier models of the same, will fit in your dashboard. The 900 choke (located between the seats) won't. You might be able to avoid buying new by visiting a wrecker, but be sure to grease the cable if corroded.
