Pete, Water pump is located on the passenger side of the block between the airbox and block. You'll see your drive belt and I forget which pulley drives the water pump, but if stick your hand down in there with a flashlight (and the car not running of course) you may be able to feel/see where the leak may be coming from. If it is a windshield washer check valve (very, very common): 1. pop the hood 2. have someone pull the lever back to activate the washers 3. watch to see if the drivers side check valve sprays into the engine compartment (or drizzles out of the bottom). If it's the check valve, they're about $6.00/ea from the dealer, EXTREMELY easy to replace (recommend you replace both) and the newer version will last MUCH longer than the check valves you have on your car now. There is a Haynes manual available for the NG900's, but it is for the UK RHD model. Only a few things are different, water pump obviously is located in the same place, however. If you want to save some dough on the part, check around online, there are plenty of Saab part suppliers and their prices will definitely beat any you'll get from a dealer. Try checking out Saabnet.com (The Saab Network) www.saabnet.com and look at the listed vendors site. Also check out the NG900 bulletin board as there is much experience with any and all things NG on that board. Good Luck, Brian G.
