If you watch racing on TV, you will see many Mobil 1 decals on race cars and driver attire. I have personally never seen a race car (or drivers suit, hat, etc.) for a major venue that had a Amsoil decal. According to the Amsoil website, they do sponsor vehicles for Supercross (motorcycles), Snowcros (snowmobiles), powerboats, Monster Trucks, and a few other minor venues. All of the users of Amsoil in these venues are sponsored (paid) by Amsoil. No NASCAR, Indy Car (CART or IRC), or Formula 1 race cars use Amsoil to my knowledge. Even the Space Shuttle uses Mobil 1. While there are other companies that make good synthetics, not all synthetics are of equal quality. I have found it to be excellent and reasonably priced. There may be other synthetics just as good as Mobil 1, but I have never seen any other full synthetic which costs more than a few cents less than Mobil 1 (and most cost more), so why take a chance with another brand. Mobil 1 is also available at almost every oil change business, and available at more retail stores than other brands (including Wal-Mart where I just bought a 5 quart container of Mobil 1 for $17.88).
