Subject: Panel Light Problem

I have a 9000CSE and the panel lights tend to go off, which is pretty disconcerting. I think I've tracked this to a loose connection at the back of the dimmer switch: the wiring ends in a plug that clips to the back of the dimmer. The trouble is that there is so much play that I don't think it is always in physical contact with the pins on the back of the switch. The really confusing thing is that it looks as if it's made that way - it's hard to see how it could ever really work. I've solved the problem for now by passing a cable tie through the body of the dimmer switch and behind the plug and just tightening it up, which seems to work fine. It bothers me though! Is this a known problem? There doesn't seem any point replacing the switch since the problem seems more to be in the plug on the wiring, which would be much more difficult to do anything about. Thanks - Paul
