You make a good point. People always say "blame the bean counters". Perhaps the bean counters tallied up how much it was costing, and perhaps someone in management looked at those figures and made a decision - but anyone who's ever been a bean counter in a major corp or just done management knows that bean counters don't make *any* decisions regarding product, *ever*.
