This varies depending on car model and type of remote. For 9-5 with the old separate remote there is a small screw on the bottom side. For 9-5 with the new remote inside the key there is a small hole on the side of the key. Push some narrow object into the hoel and push hard and at the same time try to pry open the rear side of the key. Not very easy, so be careful. I think the 9-3 use the same remotes as the 9-5.
