I had both an 83 900T 5 spd and 87 900S 5 spd. The transmission oil drain plug was located a few inches behind the engine oil drain plug, looking from front to back. I drained the oil on my 83 every 20,000 to 25,000 miles and replaced it with Castrol GTX 10-30. I never had one bit of trouble from that transmission from the day I picked the car up at the factory in Sweden in May 1983, until the day I drove the car to salvage in October 1995, over 13 years and 251,000 miles later. I used Militec-1 in the engine and trans the last 50,000 miles I owned the car. It was hit in the rear by a large truck. Ken Washington 87 9000S 87 900S 83 900T
