Subject: 1984 900 Turbo? (UK)

Hi. I've been offered a 1984 'B' reg 900 Turbo (4-door) for £350, I want to use it as a daily driver to go to work in and for the occasional long motorway journey. The car has MOT until November. I've been told it will need a new exhaust manifold gasket for the MOT. Is this going to be a huge, expensive job or is it relatively simple? Apart from that, one of the rear leccy windows does not operate - A colleague at work tells me this is probably a seized motor which won't be to difficult to sort. The paintwork is OK, a bit faded here and there, but no more than you'd expect for a 1984 car. There is no rust on the body . and under the carpets seems dry and rust free. It drives well and pulls strongly when the turbo is spinning, with no excess smoke. It's done 128000 genuine (documented) miles What other areas should I check out before buying this car? I have a feeling it's cheap because the manifold gasket will be a bitch to replace.. :-( Good buy or not? I'm looking at a Saab as I want something different. My missus has a boring modern Eurobox... TIA Mike
