Yeah, now that you mention it... those little shoes on the Saab probably would not do much for that maneuver or for stopping the car in an emergency. In cars where the brake pulls the normal rear shoes up you get about 25% of the braking force that you get from all brakes. Not a lot, but enough top stop a runaway vehicle with no brakes. Bob
