USA stands for 36.4% of the worlds CO2 pollution. This can be compared to EUs 24% or Japans 8.5%. > I'm tired of people that don't know anything about living in the US > complaining to us about our style of living every chance they get. It is not only the people that doesn't know anything about the US that can complain. I have been living in the US for the last 5 years. For example recycling is nearly non-existant. I have been working for several large US companies now, and have still not seen any that recycles. This would not be possible in Europe. When I have asked why the company doesn't. It seems like they simply don't care. The mobilityissue is another. Most americans use their cars way too much. Therefore the obesity issues. Walking to the store? Doesn't happen in this country. People cruice around the parkinglot at the shopping mall for 15 minutes to find a parking that is closest to the entrance even thought there are plenty availiable farther away. I couldn't believe it, the first time I saw one of my american friends do this. Don't missunderstand me. I really like the US, and the possibilities here. And, I know that a lot of europeans are jealous of the living standard and economic situation. But, there is no way to get around the fact that the US is an environmental dinosaur......
