It seems the turbo boost is very much throttle dependent rather than just being a function of rpm. The quicker you achieve a given rpm the more the turbo spins up. I need to learn to be a bit more brutal with the accelerator pedal I guess. The pick up at low rpm is also inferior to the LPT but I guess that is because the turbo is bigger and needs longer to get up to speed. >The squeak of the ACC sensor is quite simple if I am reading you >right. The noise will disappear. > No. The sqeak is not a mechanical one - it is the plastic facia containing all the buttons that creaks as the car and dash flexes about. This incidentally is only a minor irritation compared to the annoying squeak from the clutch pedal! >As for handling I feel the same way you do when I first switched from >the classic 900 to 9k. The 900 is clunkier. >The 9k is for sure more refined and much quieter. > I agree about the primitive feel of the classic but it did feel really planted on twisty A roads. I have not yet had a chance to try out the new car on those sorts of roads but my impressions so far is a tendency to understeer and somewhat poorer body control. From what I read on the Abbott web site, this can be cured by changing some of the suspension bushes and upgrading to Koni shocks and different springs. I will run the car for a year or so before considering whether to uprate the suspension. Thanks for your comments Martin
