Do Not Shoot the Messenger! Oldsmobile General Marketing Manager Debra Kelly-Ennis (I hate hyphenated names, it is so pompus) is replacing Saab Cars USA President Dan Chasin. Mr. Chasin is becoming director of product planning at Sabb HQ in Trollhattan, Sweden. Almost verbatim as to what is the "Heard on the Road" column in the December 2002 Motor Trend magazine. OK, time for some commentary from me: Why is GM putting a person from a division that it has run into the ground in charge of Saab USA? Oldsmobile, the oldest US car brand, has become synonomous with old and tired vehicles that only old people drive and is being shuttered next year due failin sales. Lets hope Mr Chasin will do a good job there, because we will all be watching... Jeremy
