Hi Joe, in 1995 my Volvo dealer insisted in mounting the front wheels backwards. He even showed an advice by Volvo Sweden to do so. It would decrease the "S”gezahneffekt" (don't know what's called in english, something which makes tires noisier over time) and improve braking. I drove in that setup and noticed no additional wear on the front tires. The car involved was a Volvo 244 automatic, rear wheel drive, going ~155km/h on german motorways. By[t]e, Vitus
