The seat rail option is the way to go, however, it will cost you $1,200 and take about 30 minutes installation time. Go and look at Recaro seats. They sell adapter rails for their seats to fit just about any car, truck, van, bus etc. The rails have a longer travel - just what you are looking for! I have a Classic 900S and it takes me about 15 minutes to remove the factory seat and install a Recaro seat. My seat and rail cost about $700 in the 80s. I just have to say it, have you tried a Classic Saab? They seem to be bigger on the inside than the new Saabs, just my personal opinion.
