As near as I can figure - they put the V6 out there so the SAAB would have more over all 'grunt' at lower revs and wouldn't get as many weird problems with engine management and maintenance you get with the Turbo.. What the heck - if it rolls down the road and has that groovy griffin head on the steering wheel - you are in the club as far as I'm concerned.. It might be worth spending some time this summer cleaning out the Bay as you have stopped the leaks at the gaskets.. As you run into electrical connections - give them a good spray with electrical cleaner, buff them up a bit, and re-attach.. It'll give you a chance to check the loom in general for cracks and bogged repairs.. I use varsol on a rag rather than 'spray' cleaners as I'm always worried it'll pool grunge on flat surfaces (like an electrical connection to the block).. For what it's worth - I always though it would be a gas to drop a big Eldorado/Toronado (455/403) engine in a old 900 so it would rumble alarmingly at stop lights.. :) .. I'll never do it - but it would be a hoot.. -- J Dexter - webmaster - http://www.dexterdyne.org/ all tunes - no cookies no subscription no weather no ads no news no phone in - RealAudio 8+ Required - all the Time Radio Free Dexterdyne Top Tune o'be-do-da-day Rocky Horror Picture Show - I'm Going Home http://www.dexterdyne.org/888/109.RAM
