Indeed - I find my C900 heaters (on all 3 of my 900s) heat up even more quickly than the 9k (smaller matrix, less mass to heat up). As Dave says, if you use a generic thermostat, when it's closed, it won't allow flow to the matrix, so no heat. -- Grunff
